AdaptlyPost

Our scripts and AI agent post through this API.A script queued 168 posts through the REST API on October 10, 2026, and one MCP call queued 100 more on October 27. By November 2, every one had gone out or was still queued.

Social Media API: What the $19 Plan Covers

The API costs nothing extra on any paid plan. Bigger plans add accounts, seats and workspaces.

AdaptlyPost's social media API comes with its $19 Creator plan: its API page includes the API in any paid plan, Creator or higher, at no extra cost, and the Creator card ticks API, MCP and CLI. For a developer, Creator includes:

  • 13 networks behind one endpoint. X, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, Tumblr and Google Business Profile, plus WordPress blogs, all through post.adaptlypost.com/post/api/v1.
  • 30 accounts and unlimited scheduled posts, as text, images, video, carousels or a LinkedIn document.
  • Up to 100 posts per bulk request, with a dry-run endpoint that reports the problems it can find before anything is created.
  • Webhooks, analytics and retries: signed events on every post, stats from 10 networks, and retries of only the networks that failed.

How to Use the Social Media API on the $19 Plan

One key and one call. The quick start promises a first post in under 5 minutes.

Using the social media API on the $19 plan takes five steps, drawn from AdaptlyPost's quick start and API docs:

  • Make a key. In the dashboard, Manage, then API & AI Agents, creates a token, which goes in an Authorization: Bearer header on every call.
  • Connect the accounts. Link each one once in the dashboard, or send a client a connect link and their accounts land in your workspace.
  • Read the connection IDs. GET /social-accounts returns every connected account with its ID and status.
  • Send one POST to /social-posts with the networks, the text, media URLs and those IDs. Add scheduledAt for later, or leave it out to publish now.
  • Check the result. GET the post for its status on each network, or let a webhook report it.
curl -X POST https://post.adaptlypost.com/post/api/v1/social-posts \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $ADAPTLY_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"platforms": ["TWITTER", "LINKEDIN"], "contentType": "TEXT",
"text": "Release notes are live", "timezone": "America/New_York",
       "scheduledAt": "2026-11-20T15:00:00.000Z",
       "twitterConnectionIds": ["conn_abc123"],
       "linkedinConnectionIds": ["conn_def456"]}'

Each post reaches one account per network, which AdaptlyPost's docs and support pages require under the networks' terms.

Cheapest Social Media API for 10 or 30 Accounts

Outstand matches $19 with 3,000 posts a month included. Ayrshare starts at $149 for one brand.

The cheapest paid social media API on our list is a tie at $19 a month, since AdaptlyPost's Creator plan and Outstand's pay-as-you-go plan both cover 10 or 30 accounts for that. Here is the monthly price of the lowest-priced paid plan with a posting API at each count, read from each service's own site on November 2, 2026:

Monthly price at 10 and 30 connected accounts, lowest-priced paid plan with a posting API
Service and plan10 accounts30 accounts
AdaptlyPostCreator, 30 accounts$19$19
OutstandPay as you go, 3,000 posts a month$19$19
Upload-PostBasic, 5 profiles$24$24
PostizTeam at 10, Pro at 30$39$49
BlotatoStarter at 10, Creator at 30$29$97
bundle.socialPro, 10,000 posts a month$100$100
ZernioBilled per account$48$108
AyrsharePremium at 10, Launch at 30$149$299

Ayrshare and Upload-Post bill by profile, one account per network in each, so the table counts 10 accounts as one brand on 10 networks and 30 as three such brands. Free plans are left out. Outstand's $19 includes 3,000 posts a month, then $0.007 a post, and Zernio's first 2 accounts are free, then $6 each up to 10 and $3 each after that.

Billed yearly, Upload-Post's Basic falls to $16 a month, a hair over Creator's $15.83.

X Links Through a Social Media API: What They Cost

X now bills its API by the post.

X links through a social media API cost more than plain posts, because X bills its own API per post: Gigazine reported X's new API rates, $0.20 for a post with a link from April 20, 2026, against $0.015 for one without.

AdaptlyPost's subscription plans break the link instead of billing you for it. In the X copy, example.com goes out as example. com, which can't be tapped, and the API docs say a request to keep links clickable gets a 400 error on these plans.

Four others pass the cost on: bundle.social and Zernio charge X's own rates, Upload-Post sells clickable X links as a $19-a-month add-on covering 50 link posts, and Outstand has you bring your own X developer app.

Social Media API Free Trial and Refund Terms

There's no free plan, so the trial week and the refund window are your test bench.

Before you pay for the social media API, AdaptlyPost's free trial and refund terms give you two ways out, per its pricing FAQ, support pages, changelog and docs on November 2, 2026:

  • Starting the 7-day trial checks your card for $0, and the trial comes with a set number of X posts.
  • Cancel within the 7 days and nothing is charged; the trial ends on the spot.
  • Let the week run out before choosing a plan and your posts stay visible, but publishing waits until you pay.
  • No contract: cancel on the Billing page any time and keep access to the end of the paid period.
  • The refund page promises your money back within 14 days of a purchase, no questions asked.
  • AdaptlyPost's API page asks for an active paid plan, Creator or higher, and calls without one answer 403 subscription_required. It doesn't say whether the trial counts, so if your test needs API keys, the 14-day refund is the fallback.

Which Social Media API Is Free? Each Network's Own API and Its Limits

Going direct skips the subscription and buys you reviews, quotas and fees.

No social media API is free of limits: X charges by the post, and the other networks gate theirs with permissions, audits and quotas, according to their developer docs and Gigazine:

  • X charges for every post through its API, $0.015 or $0.20 with a link.
  • Instagram publishes only to professional accounts, through a Meta app holding the content publishing permission, at up to 100 API posts per account in 24 hours by its rate-limit section.
  • TikTok keeps everything an unaudited app posts in private viewing mode until the app passes TikTok's audit.
  • YouTube gives each project 100 video uploads a day by default, and more takes a compliance audit.

A posting API takes some of that off your plate, not all of it. We connected our accounts through AdaptlyPost's dashboard and never registered a developer app of our own, but our Instagram still had to be a business account, and AdaptlyPost's shared daily YouTube upload limit held up our Shorts for six days in October.

Social Media API for Clients and Agencies: Pro Plan Price

One workspace per client, and keys that can't step outside it.

A social media API for clients and agencies needs workspaces kept apart, and the Pro plan price of $39 a month buys 3 workspaces, 3 team members and 60 accounts.

Each API key acts only in the workspace it was made in, with one of 4 roles. An Admin key can also mint connect links, which let a client connect their own accounts with no AdaptlyPost login, for 7 days by default, up to 365, or with no end.

AdaptlyPost API Review: Is It Worth $19 a Month?

268 posts queued in two batches, and none of them stuck as failed.

Our AdaptlyPost API review rests on two batches from our own brands, and we think it is worth $19 a month if your X posts can live without tappable links. On October 10, 2026, a Python script made 168 POST calls to /social-posts for our second brand: 84 image posts to X, Instagram and Threads and 84 YouTube Shorts, 84 pairs over 80 days through December 29. By November 2, 52 had gone out and 116 were waiting their turn.

On October 27, our AI agent sent 100 Facebook posts for our first brand in one bulk call through the MCP server, 10 a day for 10 days, and all 100 were accepted.

The trouble came on YouTube. Shorts failed from October 12 to 17 on AdaptlyPost's shared daily upload limit until we connected YouTube's backup option, then once more on October 31, and every one went out on a retry. Our account isn't on the Creator plan, and it shows once: 13 of the 168 calls asked to keep a link clickable in an X reply, which the API refuses on Creator with a 400 error, so on that plan the link would go out as plain text. Take limits from the plan table. We earn a commission on sales through our links, and we know AdaptlyPost's developer from a business community.

Social Media API: Questions

What is a social media API?

A social media API is a web service your code calls to post, schedule and measure on social networks without opening each app. AdaptlyPost's takes one POST with your text, media and networks and answers with the post's ID and the networks it queued.

Which social media API is free?

Free social media APIs exist with caps: Zernio's first 2 accounts cost nothing, bundle.social's free plan holds 3 accounts and 20 posts a month, Upload-Post's holds 2 profiles and 10 uploads, and X bills every post through its own API. AdaptlyPost has no free plan.

Does AdaptlyPost have an MCP server?

AdaptlyPost has an MCP server on every paid plan, so Claude, ChatGPT or another agent can draft, schedule and publish with your role's permissions.

Does AdaptlyPost's API have rate limits?

AdaptlyPost's API has a rate limit per key, and responses carry a RateLimit-Remaining header so a batch can pace itself. One bulk request holds up to 100 posts.
